John Stoddert Haw House is a historic building, located at 2808 N Street, Northwest, Washington, D.C., in the Georgetown neighborhood.
The building was constructed in 1816, and is an example of the Federal architecture. In 1815, it was bought by Benjamin Stoddert's nephew, John Stoddert Haw. On July 19, 1817, it was assessed for $5000. In 1921, Spencer S. Wood bought the house. In 1941, it passed to Anne Elizabeth wood, who was married to Joseph C. Harsch. In 1962, Chester Bowles bought the house. In 1967, George C. McGhee bought the house. [2]
The John Stoddert Haw House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is a contributing property to the Georgetown Historic District. Its 2009 property value is $2,935,970.
